I created a mini intra oral self-care ritual born from listening rather than fixing. It is one of those practices that reminds me how quickly the body responds when it feels met with presence and care. There is something deeply grounding about stepping inside your own landscape and moving with intention instead of urgency.
In this practice we gently explore three muscles that hold so much of our unspoken tension. The masseter. The lateral pterygoid. The buccinator. Each stroke is repeated three to five times, slowly and thoughtfully, as if you are introducing your hands to the tissue rather than asking it to change. I love completing one side fully before moving to the other, allowing the body to reveal its contrast. One side softens. Breath deepens. The jaw grows quieter. Awareness becomes clearer.
This is not about technique alone. It is about relationship. About noticing how quickly ease can return when we listen with our hands and give the nervous system permission to settle. In just a few mindful minutes, the body remembers that it is safe to let go.
